Do you know about the weird triangle on top of a window near a window seat? Well, here are more secret features in airplanes you may not know!
1: Yellow hooks on the wings
You board a plane and sit down on your window seat and you see a weird yellow hook on the wing. You question yourself: What is that? Is it a piece of debris that got stuck on the plane? Well it is not. That yellow hook is very useful during an emergency because if you have to evacuate and the wings are slippery, the cabin crew will throw a rope through the holes so that you do not slip and fall.

2: A hole in the window
If you look closely at the window near your seat you may see a hole. Is it dangerous, you ask? Well, it is not. In fact, without it, the window will break and you will be sucked out of the airplane! Airplane windows have 3 layers of glass: the outer, middle and the inner. The outer layer keeps the pressure at bay, the inner one deals with damage from inside such as scratches or dents, and the middle one, where the hole is, regulates the flow of air. The hole helps to balance the pressure difference and prevents moisture from condensing between the glass panels.

4: The black triangle
Is it an Iluminati? No. It is there for safety reasons. In case the pilots need to double check the flaps or to get a clear view of the engine in case of an emergency, they will tell the cabin crew to look at the window below this 'mysterious' black triangle as it has the clearest view of the wings and engines.
