Today, Irish airline, Aer Lingus announced the temporary cancellation of flights from Manchester to New York and Orlando. This is due to international borders not opening as early as expected. These flights were originally slated to restart on the 29th of July, but have now been delayed till further notice. However, Aer Lingus also announced that flights to Barbados will continue to resume on the 20th of October and is not affected by this temporary cancellation.
Aer Lingus also announced that they are fully committed to these temporarily cancelled routes and are looking forward to launching them later this year after border restrictions ease. The airline is sorry for any inconvenience caused and is offering a full refund, re-accommodation on an alternative service or the option of a voucher with an additional 10%.
Do you think Aer Lingus guessed when borders were opening too early?
