Air Canada's Inaugural Flight From Montreal To Cairo

Today, we are one step closer to the strategic rebuild of Air Canada's global network, beginning with a focus on leisure, visiting friends and family traffic. Air Canada operated its first non-stop service between Montreal and Cairo today.

As of now, Air Canada is offering 3 flights a week on a Boeing 787-8, in a three-class configuration on the route. The following is the flight schedule for the route:

- Air Canada 74 [Montreal > Cairo]- Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday

- Air Canada 75 [Cairo > Montreal]- Wednesday, Friday, Sunday

Do note that the schedule above may be amended due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Here is a press statement by Air Canada regarding the new route:

"Air Canada is pleased to offer its first scheduled flights to Egypt. We are strategically rebuilding our international network by adding new routes that support leisure and visiting friends and family travel. With few non-stop options to Egypt from North America, we see opportunities to launch new non-stop flights to Cairo from Montreal where there is an established Egyptian community. We have also built convenient connections to and from our Cairo flights from across Canada and the US at our Montreal hub. This new route shows our commitment to rebuild our international network and our Montreal hub, which have been dramatically affected by the COVID-19 pandemic"
