The Antonov An-225 is the world's biggest airplane! It is a cargo superjumbo jet developed in the 1980s. Powered by six turbofan engines, it is the heaviest aircraft ever built with a MTOW (maximum take-off weight) of 640 tonnes! It also holds the world record for the longest wingspan of any aircraft in operational! Unfortunately, there is only one of this plane was ever built. There was supposed to be one more but construction was halted halfway through.
The Antonov An-225 is an enlargement of the successful Antonov An-124 that was initially developed for transporting the Buran spaceplane. The only An-225 airplane was completed in 1988. After successfully fulfilling its Soviet military missions, it was mothballed for eight years. It was then refurbished and re-introduced, and is in commercial operation with Antonov Airlines carrying oversized payloads and is still in operations today!

The Mrija transported over 10 million face masks to Germany. It might be a important transport against COVID-19 and maybe we must convince Oleksandr Donets to finish the second An-225 :)
