Welcome to Aviation Myth Busters #1! In this short article series, we will go through some common aviation myths that may or may not be true!
Let's get started with today's myth!
Myth: The co-pilot is less experienced than the pilot
Answer: FALSE!
Reason:
A common myth in the aviation industry is that the co-pilot is less experienced than the pilot because of the word "co".
However, this is actually not true! Onboard most flights, the pilot and the co-pilot always swap positions! So, this means that the co-pilot can actually be more experienced than the pilot!
Actually, if you are a co-pilot, you have around the same level of command as the pilot!
