On 20 March 2021 at 4.26 am UTC, A Trigana Air Boeing 737-400F's landing gear collapsed as the plane touched down in Jakarta's Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport. This resulted in the aircraft skidding off Runway 24 at the airport. Thankfully all crew evacuated the aircraft safely and no injuries have been reported.
The flight was operated by PK-YSF, A 23-year-old Boeing 737-4Y0 (737-400 Freighter) that entered Trigana Air's fleet in 2013. The plane came in for a landing at Jakarta with a speed of 102kts, which is typical for a Boeing 737.
However, Trigana Air had an incident similar to this before. On 26 February 2020, a Trigana Air Boeing 737-300F also suffered a gear collapse issue at Jayapura Airport.
Investigations are still ongoing.
