Just about a few hours ago, ExpressJet (an owned subsidiary of United Airlines) has said in a press statement that they will cease operations by September 30th, 2020 due to reasons relating to Covid-19 and its impact on the aviation sector. The airline has fired most of its workers except for a few to help maintain the airline till closure. The CEO of ExpressJet stated that it would be extremely to maintain any semblance of schedule integrity during this period. Its such a bummer that ExpressJet is ceasing operations because it looked like they had bright futures ahead of them with 101 aircraft and 33 more on order but looks like all good things must come to an end. Airline bankruptcy is very common during this Covid-19 period so we all better get used to it.
