FAA To Ban Alcohol At Airports?

Don't feel like reading? A Podcast version of this article will be released soon.

Everyone has heard stories of drunk disruptive passengers on flights. Over the past few years, the trend of alcohol-related incidents has been increasing. In order to fix this, an FAA administrator wants all airports to stop selling alcohol "to-go", which means that those passengers in the transit area may not be able to purchase alcohol from a duty-free shop and drink them in-flight.

Onboard flights, Cabin Crew can help the passengers control the amount of alcohol they consume. However, if a passenger purchases alcohol before boarding, they can drink as much as they want without the Cabin Crew knowing.

Earlier this year, a passenger on a United Airlines flight, attacked a Cabin Crew member. They were fined over $50,000! Lots of incidents like these have been increasing in popularity throughout the past years, with most of them portrayed by passengers under alcohol influence.
