Dubai-based airline, Flydubai has announced that they will start twice-weekly flights to the Turkish capital of Ankara from July 29th onwards. These services to Ankara's Esenboga International Airport are now on sale at Flydubai's website.
Why Ankara, you may ask? Ankara is packed with history and culture. From Roman remains to Ottoman castles and citadels, art museums and beautiful green parks, Ankara has a lot to offer visitors as well as being the capital city. Also, with the addition of Ankara, Flydubai's network has grown to 97 destinations in 50 countries. Do note that passengers need to follow regulations by IATA due to COVID-19.
Here is a statement by Flydubai's CEO regarding the new launch:
“Flydubai’s first flight to Turkey landed exactly 11 years ago in Istanbul. We have since grown our network to four unique destinations offering our passengers from the UAE and the region greater choice for the summer and around the year. We look forward to doubling the frequency of our operations to Ankara for the winter schedule as demand for travel continues to gradually grow.”
