Some of you were asking, how do budget airlines afford cheap ticket prices and still make a profit?
1: Using one type of aircraft model
Budget airlines try to use one type of aircraft model to reduce the cost of training the crew as they only need to be trained on one type of aircraft and to reduce maintenance costs. For example, Ryanair only uses 737s and EasyJet uses only A320s.

2: Hiring younger cabin crew
Budget airlines hire younger crew as they dont have big salaries, which, helps the airline to save money. For example, EasyJet has almost 80% of younger crew (According to various sources)

3: Having very little luxuries onboard
Budget airlines tend to not be very luxurious as it helps to reduce the maintenance costs because having TVs or reclining seats will be more expensive to fix if it breaks compared to not having them. For example Wizzair does not have any of the above.

4: Flying to cheaper airports
Budget airlines like to travel to cheaper airports in the area instead of the main airport of that city to save money and have a better negotiation power. For example, Flybe used to operate to London Gatwick instead of London Heathrow (before they were bankrupt)

5: No assigned seat
Budget airlines love not to assign seats so that passengers come to the airport early and boarding happens faster so that they do not waste money on ground. For example, Southwest airline does this method and they have saved a lot of money from it.

6: No connections
Connections are not a thing on budget airlines because that means that the airline will have to spend more money to transfer a passengers bag if they are late and if someone misses their flight, they will have to compensate them. So, nowadays, if you have a connecting flight on a budget airline, you will have to leave the airport and check in again.
