How Travelling on one of the World's Best Airlines in the middle of a pandemic

Recently, my relative who has been working abroad in London for the past 2 years, returned to Singapore using Singapore Airlines during this ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and here is her review on the flight experience:


The Service:

"The service onboard was amazing! I was well taken by the Singapore Airlines staff! When I was peckish at night, they gave me some snacks, and they did the best they could to give me a free upgrade to Business Class when I asked for one! As I was about to sleep, one of the passengers onboard started playing their movies very loudly and was told to quiet down upon my request."


"Overall the service was amazing!"


The COVID-19 protection measures:

"Even though I did not get tested for the coronavirus at London Airport, I still felt very safe onboard. I got a care kit when I came onboard, all the staff members were wearing PPE and there was a spacing of one row between every passenger!"


"The safest I have ever felt onboard an airplane"


The food:

"Surprisingly, the food was the same as any usual flight, but it was not the food I really wanted because I have been deprived of Singaporean local food, so I was expecting that."


"The food was still good, though, way better than other airlines."


The entertainment:

"The entertainment was great. There was a wide selection of movies onboard. I really loved the safety video, it had a nice creative local touch!"


The cleanliness:

"The airplanes were actually way cleaner than usual. The airplane toilets were cleaned every hour or so."



"In conclusion, it was an amazing experience, I did not have a single thought about catching the coronavirus. The Singapore Airlines staff were very friendly and helpful!"
