MC-21 Wing Panel Delivered To Ikrut

The first wing panel of an MC-21 has been delivered to the Ikrutsk Aviation Plant. The MC-21 is Russia's newest narrow-body jet, designed to compete with the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737. This aircraft could very well be the future of aviation. The wing panel is made out of Russian composite materials and is expected to be installed on the first MC-21 to enter commercial service.

The wing panel, 17.5 meters long, was delivered by road from Ulyanovsk to Irkutsk. Russian chemists and scientists created the composite materials used for the aircraft. Now, Ikrut corporation can finally start the assembly of their very first MC-21!
