New Startup Airline World2Fly Receives Its First Airbus A350

Another new startup airline is emerging- World2Fly. Today, the new airline received its first Airbus A350, EC-NOI, which is one month old. One more of the type is expected to be delivered to World2Fly soon. The airplane was originally destined for Aeroflot, but the airline did not take delivery of the aircraft due to COVID-19. The new A350 will have an all-economy configuration, seating 432 seats. Even though it may seem like the airplane is very crammed with an all-economy configuration, remember that there is a seat back video screen on every seat! In addition, some economy seats, called "XL Seats", will have extra legroom and added luxuries.

World2Fly is a Spanish carrier that plans to fly from Madrid and Lisbon to many destinations in South America. The airline has 1 Airbus A350 (EC-NOI, 1-month-old) and 1 Airbus A330-300 (EC-LXR, 11.3 years old). The Airbus A330, sadly, does not have any seat back video screens. They also have one more Airbus A350, which is currently being delivered.

Their first flight is planned to happen very soon, set on June 19th. The inaugural service will be from Madrid to Punta Cana, most likely using their new Airbus A350. Services to Havana and Cancun will start soon.

Here is a statement regarding the new A350 by Air Lease Corporation

"We are delighted to deliver our first of two new A350-900 aircraft to our new customer, World2Fly…ALC is pleased to help launch World2Fly with new A350-900 aircraft and we are confident the A350-900 will help distinguish World2Fly in the marketplace."
