Since late May last year, Thai Airways have been in bankruptcy protection. Finally, earlier today, Thai Airways won court approval for restructuring its 12 Billion USD debt. Now, after this, Thai Airways will be able to implement its restructuring plan to get back on its feet. Also, this could not have come at a better time as Thai Airways recently posted a record loss last year of 4.5 Billion USD! Hopefully, if this plan works, the airline could start earning a profit after more than 9 years!
A news conference will be held later today by Thai Airways regarding the topic.
