Many of us know that the aviation sector has been hit badly by Covid-19 and that has lead to many job cuts and new airplanes retiring early but one of the most affected airlines is the one and only Singapore Airlines. Voted as the world's best airline multiple times, you may ask why are they badly hit by this virus? Well, almost every airline in the world has a domestic market where they can start earning revenue as the restrictions ease but Singapore Airlines does not have that because Singapore is a country with only one piece of land unlike European, American, or Australian carriers. Just yesterday, Singapore Airlines have fired 4500 of its staff with many more job losses to come as they did not have any choice because money was burning off, fast. In March they have cut more than 96% of all their routes and that amount is becoming lower and lower but as borders ease restrictions, they can recover slowly and once again, become the Singapore Airlines we know and love! If you have any doubts that they will not ever recover from this and become bankrupt like many other airlines, don't worry, Singapore Airlines is one of the most world-renowned airlines and I can guarantee that they will not be bankrupt and go out of business.
Do you think that Singapore Airlines will survive this?
