So last year in November I took a Finnair A350 flight from Singapore to Gran Canaria (An island in the Canary Islands, Spain) via Helsinki. My flight experience was not the best but the airline is ok.
At 8.15pm, I checked in at Changi Airport T1 and went through passport control. The ground staff were very kind and polite. I walked to my gate and waited. At 11.30pm, boarding started, 20 minutes late. I entered into the waiting room and took some photos of the plane. After 30 minutes of waiting, they finally let us in the plane. The cabin crew were looking a bit tired but they served blueberry juice to those in economy class, like me. At 12am, We were informed of a 1 hour delay due to technical difficulties. I was so bored as the in flight entertainment was not as good as i thought. After waiting for an hour, at 1am, they announced a second delay, this time for 30 minutes. I was worried that I would miss my connecting flight. Finally at 1.35am, we taxied to the runway and took off. When the plane reached cruising altitude, the cabin crew served spinach and cheese ravioli. It did not taste bad but it was not the best airplane food I had. I watched some movies and slept for about 6-7 hours. I woke up at around 8am (Singapore time). The cabin crew served a basic breakfast of sausage, ombelette and some of that YUMMY blueberry juice. After an hour, we started our final approach at Helsinki but thats when I realised, I missed my connecting flight. When I arrived at the airport, I went to transfer service. The local time in Helsinki was 6pm. The lady at counter service said the next flight was at 5am on TAP portugal airlines via Lisbon. I was not prepared for this. The lady gave me a hotel room that was outside the airport. The temperature outside was -3 degrees celcius! It was so cold when I stepped outside. I was not dressed for it. I stayed at the hotel overnight and in the morning, we went back to the terminal. I boarded the TAP portugal (Transportes Aeros Portugeses) flight and I had to say, TAP was way better than Finnair because the 7 hour flight that we were supposed to take, they were not serving ANY food but for the 2 short TAP flights, they served AMAZING food!
When I arrived at Gran Canaria, my baggage was missing! Luckily, 2 days later, I got my luggage back! I would still fly Finnair but as a last resort and I will fly TAP anytime because of the 10/10 service!

Finnair : 3.5/10
TAP Portugal: 10/10 (Its on my best airlines list)
