Some of you were asking, why do we see planes before hearing them?
Well here is the answer:
Light travels way faster than sound. In fact, light is the fastest thing on earth as it travels 299,792 kilometers per second. As most of you already know that in order to see, you need light to bounce off the object that you want to look at, and in this case, the light is bouncing off the airplane to our eyes faster than the sound from the engines travels to our ears. Sound is also pretty fast too because it travels 343 meters per second! So, in conclusion, you see planes before hearing them because light is faster than sound.
