Last year, Airbus announced that they will be making a plane that would revolutionize air travel: The Airbus A321XLR. The A321XLR will have a range up to 4,700nmi, allowing it to travel up to 10 hours without refuelling, which will change air travel forever when it's released in 2023 because, during this ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a spike in demand for air travel, causing airlines to shift towards small narrow-body aircraft for their flights and the aviation industry will not recover from this pandemic fully for a long time, but, long-haul travel will resume. If there is not enough people to fill up a wide-body airplane, but there is demand for long-haul travel, the Airbus A321XLR is the perfect choice. This choice will not only be beneficial to airlines, but to passengers also because by having smaller planes go on long haul routes, there will be long-haul low-demand routes such as London Heathrow to Dallas and a higher frequency of flights. However, there is a downside. Bigger airplanes will be retired and cabin crew will not have the same amount of resting space compared to larger aircraft.
As of right now, the A321XLR is doing very well with more than 400 orders!
Are you excited for the A321XLR?

Yes, I know that the picture above shows and A320, for some reason my Wix is glitching, and I can't upload any pictures, sadly.
